As I was preparing to leave the service after the war, I ordered this picture of the LAWS (this is the same image I used on the cover page). The person responsible for this photo prepared it with my battle ribbons and name on the photo. This photo is in real tough shape so I took a photo of the photo to give the best representation of the LAWS for this book. The black and white photo is of the artwork on the main stack of the LAWS. The artwork was about 12 foot in diameter and depicts the many duties that we performed as part of the 55th Squadron.
