Gothenburg to Mason City, IA

The final day of our trip to Sausalito began with our departure from Gothenburg, Nebraska at 7:15 AM. We had the high winds again and some sun as the sun came up. But as we got near Lincoln the skies clouded up and by the time we crossed the Missouri River into Iowa the rain began. The temperatures hung around 42 degrees for most of the trip and we were thankful that they did not fall low enough to turn the rain to snow or ice. When we arrived home at about 2:45 we found that we had some great fall color in our own back yard. It was a great trip, one we will remember for a long time.
