My project tonight made things look terrible on the west side of the shop. I want to extend the retaining wall I started last night between the two hybird poplar trees, which required some digging to get the path down to the ground level. The ground originally fell about 3 foot from the old machine shed floor so when I dug the footings I pushed the extra soil and rocks to this location. My original plan was to build a deck over the entire pile of dirt but I have since changed my mind on what to do with it. The digging was a little tough with the rock and concrete chunks buried in the pile, the picture above shows the trench before I had broken through. As you can see by the arrows in the picture below I now have a 2 foot wide path cut to allow the broken concrete pieces to be laid up.
