I started tonight by sanding all the shelves I had edged with pine. This sanding included using the belt sander as well as the orbital sander. Then it was time to get into the smelly primer. This fast drying oil based product goes on nicely but the odor is a little over powering at times. I finished the upper cabinet primer and then primed the 36 shelves standing on the countertop.
