This was a night that little shows but a lot of work was accomplished. I started by squaring the center form I installed last night to the garage floor forms and then I leveled and straightened it by staking it down. I used this to establish two base footings to be poured with the garage floor. As you may remember I removed too much dirt in the center of the escavation and instead of filling with rock I have decided to use the over-run of concrete to build level base footings for the pressure treated footings to follow. This all sounds confusing at this point, but when I get to this point it should make sense.

The areas around the forms will be backfilled once the temporary forms are removed to provide support for lateral movement. It is not my intention to backfill the entire area since it will be covered with plastic and will be spanned with the floor joist.
