It is hard to believe that it has been nearly 2 months since we last worked on the new shop project. But the time has gotten on and now it is time to get back on the project. The weather was cold today, about 20 degrees and gray skies. The new shop interior seemed colder than it was outside so I decided to try to heat things up with my "Mr. Heater." This is a small radient burner that fits on top of a LP tank. It did seem to help a little but there just wasn't enough heat to take the chill off like I wanted. The project this weekend was to get started with the framing on the finish room. But before I started I had to move a lot of the storage items that we moved into the shop when we tore down the machine shed.

The framing went slowly because of the cold and the fact that I was so bundled up that I could hardly move. But I did get the wall framed before lunch.

After lunch I moved on to covering the studs with the remaining siding left from the construction of the shop. I had just enough sheets to cover the 17 foot wide wall. I do plan on painting the siding a lighter color in the spring.
