I only have one picture for this update, but it represents and entire days work. I am suffering from my annual winter head cold so I was a bit off my stride. During the week I applied three coats of polyurethane to the bench top so that today I could begin installing the lathe. The first step was to clean up the equipment as it had its share of rust from storage in somewhat damp conditions in the old shop. Then I mounted it to the bench using the original mounting holes that I bored through the top layer of the bench. I completed the framework of the lower cabinet below the drawers and then installed a task light above the lathe that also doubles as a shelf for the lathe duplicator.
