I have been very careful about designing my gardens when it comes to concrete statuary. Although I have seen some really cute pieces, I find that they can detract from the real purpose of my garden, which is to see pretty flowers. But somewhere along the line Dan brought this little girl home and I just love the innocent look of her pouring water into a bowl. It was originally designed with a below her with a pump and water. But with the wind we get it is hard to keep it operating so I use her just as you see here, surrounded by my yellow Coreopsis. I have also seen this referred to as Moonbeam and Tickseed, but whatever it is called matters less than the beauty it adds to my garden.
