When we laid out this flower garden I wanted to have a couple plantings that were bush or shrub like to anchor the garden. One of the shrubs I selected was this Potentilla. It never fails to offer a lot of yellow blooms, which show well in contrast with the old plow. It starts blooming in early June and continues through most of the season. As you can see this shrub has just started to bloom, we will watch it fill out and post another picture when if is fully bloomed.

The picture above was added one day after the first was taken, the blooms have nearly doubled in one day.
