Notes for Charles W. YOUNG

EDITORS NOTE:

The initial information about this family group came through an obituary for Abigail (Cowley) Henry in which her relationship to Benjamin Franklin and Sarah Jennie (Wells, Cowley) Breyfogle was noted. This obituary listed her first husband as Carl, a nickname he used in the 1920 Federal Census. The 1910 Federal Census corrected this to Charles W. and added his parents name to the data.

Charles W. and Abigail C. Young are living on East 73rd Street, Chicago, IL where his parents William B. and Amanda Young are living with them. Also listed as a boarder is Charles' Aunt Amelia Marsh, it is unknown if this is a sister to his mother or father, although she is listed as the same age (75) as his mother, perhaps they are twins. Also living in the household as a border is Abigail's half brother Frederick Breyfogle. Charles is working as an inventor of machinery and Abigail is working as a teacher in the public school. Charles and Abigail have been married one year at the time this census was recorded (April 18, 1910).
