Obituary Leslie K Conquest

LESLIE K. CONQUEST Age 86 of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2005 in Crown Point, Indiana. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edith (Swanson); 3 sons, J. David (Diann) Conquest of Pittsford, New York, Dr. Douglas (Patricia) Conquest of Round Rock, Texas, Daniel (Sue Ann Gerlach) Conquest of Charlottesville, Virginia; 6 grandchildren, Deborah C. (Mashoor) Bany Ata, Joanna C. (Dr. Keir) Thelander, Drew & Evan Conquest, Jennifer C. (Stephen) Turner and Christopher Conquest; 2 great grandchildren, Luke & Sarah Thelander. Preceded in death by parents, Lyman & Hattie and 2 brothers, Kenneth & Cecil.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point with Rev. Bill Davis officiating. Burial at Maplewood Memorial Cemetery in Crown Point. Friends may call at the Geisen Funeral Home, 109 N. East St., Crown Point on Friday, January 21, 2005 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m. and on Saturday morning at the church from 10 to 11 a.m.

Mr. Conquest was a member and Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point, a past Master of the Crown Point Masonic Lake Lodge #157 F & AM, Scottish Rite, 33rd Degree Mason, York Rite, past Potentate of Orak Shrine and a member of other Masonic and community organizations including Rotary, Civic Club and Jaycees.

He was affiliated with Shell Oil Company for over 50 years and an avid golfer and long time member of Youche Country Club in Crown Point. The family requests that memorials be given to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2211 North Oak Park, Elmwood Park, IL 60707 or the First Presbyterian Church of Crown Point, 218 South Court St., Crown Point, IN 46307.
