Notes for George Ernest SCHNABEL, JR.

EDITORS NOTE:

The Berks County will and marriage records show the marriage between George and Marguerite but subsequent searches did not confirm any other details about this couple and their family. There are two newspaper references, both from Williamsport, PA where a Rev. George E Schnabel is scheduled to preach to a group. One of the articles mentions that he is part of an group of visiting Evangelical Ministers. The articles, dated March 12, 1938 and August 6, 1949 do not mention any other information that would add to the history of this couple. It is interesting that these articles mention the person being associated with the Evangelical church in that Marguerite's father, Sylvanus C. Breyfogel, was a well known Bishop of this church. It is also known that Marguerite's sister was married to Rev. Gustav B. Kimmel, also a well know member of the same church. It is not a stretch of the imagination to think that Marguerite's husband George is also a clergyman in the same denomination.
