Notes for George Raymond DANDY

George Raymond Dandy, 93, of Springdale died Thursday, April 7, 2005, in Dallas. He was born Nov. 10, 1911, in Schaller, Iowa, to William Franklin and Lydia Brown Dandy. He was a farmer in Iowa until 1959, when he moved to Northwest Arkansas. He owned and operated the APCO station and Dandy Oil Company. He was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive Dandy.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Dandy of Eureka Springs and Marvin Dandy of Springdale; four daughters, Cleo Breyfogle of Holstein, Iowa, Jan Sevadjian of Dallas, Diane Hines of Marietta, Ga., and Marlys Taylor of Lowell; three brothers, Edgar Dandy of Schaller, Iowa, Floyd Dandy of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Lincoln Dandy of Sioux Rapids, Iowa; two sisters, Edna Aamodt of Prescott, Wis.; and Mary Christiansen of New Braunfels, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Q. L. Louderback officiating. Interment will be in Salem Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Collin Breyfogle, Daniel Breyfogle, Brian Dandy, Emile Sevadjian, Greg Sevadjian, Corey Taylor and Kevin Taylor. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church School Scholarship Fund, 1800 W. Emma Ave., Springdale, 7176
