Notes for Herman BRIDGEMAN

Contributor writes:

Living Route 9, Bloomfield, Iowa in November 1969. Information received from sister Mattie Haines in 1991. he was a coal miner, and had farmed in Wapello County most of his life. He was a member of the Midway Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters, Avis Shilkus of Ottumwa and Tosetta Bridgemena of Albia; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Mattie Haines of Council Bluffs, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Earl Bridgeman; two sisters, Elsie Ostermeyer and Nellie Hopkins and three brothers, Russell, Dick, and Tom Bridgeman. Funeral services were April 26, 1996 at the Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with Rev. Harold Baker of the Midway Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Jay Cemetery near Blakesburg. Memorials may be made to the family. Casket bearers: John Deeter, Terry Deeter, Frank McCoy, Dave Rimmer, Michael Shilkus, Dean Withrow.
