Medical information: In 1960, my mother, Iva Mae (Weyer) Martz was diagnosed with uterine cancer. She was treated at the outpatient clinic at the University of Iow Hospital. they administered cobalt and radiation therapy over a period of about 6-12 months. After 5 years she was considered cured of this cancer.
