John Edward Hoffmeyer Jr Obituary

West Olive resident John e. Hoffmeyer, 26, 15465 Filmore, died August 10, 1988 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids following an automobile accident.

Mr. Hoffmeyer was born September 2, 1961 in Joliet, IL, to John and Catherine Hoffmeyer Sr. He moved to the area from Joliet nine years ago and was employed by Andro-Copper Industries.

Mr. Hoffmeyer is survived by his wife, Shelly; daughter, Ashley: son, Christopher; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Hoffmeyer, Sr. of West Olive; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hoffmeyer of Emmetsburg, IA; brothers Michael Hoffmeyer of Holland, Scott and Tony Hoffmeyer of West Olive; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Afton Hill of Holland and several nieces and nephews.

The Graveside Services for Mr. John E. Hoffmeyer, age 26, will be conducted 1 PM Saturday from Grand Haven Township Cemetery with Rev. David Smith officiating. Interment will follow. Friends may meet the family 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Hoffmeyer Children Trust Fund.
