Notes for Phoebe BEVINS

Obituary Mrs. Phebe Johnson

Mrs. Phebe Johnson, 77, a long time resident of Consort and district, passed away January 9, 1957.

She was born in Kwonia, Ill. On May 4, 1880 and was wed to August Peter Johnson at Wadena, Min. in the year 1905.

She came to Canada in 1921 with her husband and three daughters and took up farming 12 miles south of consort, residing there until 1944 when she and her husband moved into Consort.

She leaves to mourn 3 daughters (Mary) Mrs. Richard Magee of Clive, (Della) Mrs. A. Lindemann and (Iva) Mrs. Sam Covlin both of Consort. Also 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and one brother in Minnisota. She was predeceaser by her husband in 1942.

Funeral services were conducted from Knox United Church Saturday Jan 12 with Rev. W. Brown officiating.

Pallbearers were Edgar Wade M, Halsieth A. Halsieth A. Smith Harvey Kelts J. Fossum.

Coronationi Funeral Homne charge of arrangement with Interment at the Lake Road Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was a quiet, hard warking christian woman and her passing comes as a shock to all.

Deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved.
