Notes for Arthur Reynolds BREYFOGLE, JR.

A quartet consisting of Arthur R. Breyfogle, Ralph W. Kummer, Fred Fox and A. F. Breyfogle will offer songs appropriate to the various periods discussed. Mr. And Mrs. Arthur R. Breyfogle, whose musical careers include touring in such, shows as "Oklahoma" and "Song of Norway," will offer two duets and the audience will be asked to participate in community 'singing. Mrs. Robert Condon, a member of the San Mateo Knolls faculty, will accompany all musical numbers.

Arthur Reynolds Breyfogle Jr.

Atlanta, GA.

Arthur Reynolds Breyfogle, Jr., 88, a resident of Atlanta, GA. Since 1995, died July 9, 2002.

A memorial service was held Sunday, October 6, 2002, at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Prairieville. A World War II marker will cover his ashes.

He was born June 9, 1914 in Michigan in a musical family.
Art trained his tenor voice and while performing wit the St. Louis Municipal Opera, he met soprano Josephine Todd Collins, daughter of Davis and Beulah Collins of Gallion.

They sang in Broadway shows, and in Los Angeles and San Francisco civic light opera. They toured in "Song of Norway", and Art sang two tours with the Charles Wagner Grand Opera.

Art and Josephine wed on December 23, 1947 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in New York.

After their son was born, Art left the theater and worked on the West coast for the Flying Tiger Line, KLM Royal Dutch and Philippine Airlines. The family were world travelers.

He is survived by his wife, Jo; his son, Arthur Reynolds Breyfogle III of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandson, Arthur Reynolds Breyfogle IV; his mother, Elizabeth, of Fresno, CA.; nephews, Jon of Penngrove, CA.; Larry of Kure Beach, N.C.; in Michigan; sister-in-law, Geraldine, nephew, William and neice, Janet; in Canada, Alf Francis, Mary Graham, Jessie Head, Rita Bennett and Betty and Peter Breyfogle; in England, Joan B. Bartlett; sisters-in-law Gwyn Turner of Demopolis, Beulah Abernathy, Mary Collins and Grace Brown of Atlanta, GA., and Olivia Cox of Florida; nieces, Penny Coleman of Mobile, Doris Green of Gallion, Grace Oliver of Redmond, Wash., Beth Deschaines of San Francisco, CA., Jenifer King and Amy Gates of Atlanta; nephews, Todd Collins of Gallion, Julian Abernathy of Atlanta, and Joe and David Turner of Demopolis.
