Notes for Julia Ann BEVINS

Julia Bevins was born September 22, 1857 in Ohio according to Grace. In the 1870 census, however, she is shown in her father William's household as having been born in Illinois. She also appears in the 1880 census.5

Grace writes that she married Charles Gotheridge and had a large family. Illinois records show the marriage of Charles Gotheridge and Julia A. Bevins in Henry County on June 19, 1882.9 This family does not show up in 1900's or later censuses for Annawan township. It is not known where they lived.

According to Grace, Julia died September 22 although the year is not known.
