Notes for Earl Timothy BREYFOGLE

EARL TIMOTHY BREYFOGLE, 86, of Deer River, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at Deer River Hospital, Deer River.

Born April 9, 1917, in Lyon County, he was the son of Thomas and Margaret Breyfogle. He married Ethel March 2, 1946, in Eden Prairie. She preceded him in death.

He grew up on a farm near Marshall. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After marriage, they moved to Lake Wilson. He owned and operated an automotive repair and Standard gas station with his brother and bought a farm. He also managed the Lake Wilson Volunteer Fire Department. In later years, they purchased a launch fishing operation and cabins in Federal Dam.

Surviving are two sons, Earl Breyfogle, Anchor Point, Alaska, and Steven Breyfogle, Lake City; two daughters, Susan Daluddung, Ventura, Calif., and Lois Breyfogle, Boy River; one sister, Margaret DePyper, Mankato; and 12 grandchildren.

The service was at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Federal Dam. Burial was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
