Notes for Gustav Bernard KIMMEL

Gustav and Esther are living in Indianapolis, IN where he is employed as a preacher. They list their son Charles, age 4, and son William, age 1-1/12 as those living with them.

By 1920 Gustav and Esther have moved to Naperville, IL where he is now working as a minister and teacher at a college. Along with their sons Charles and William, they list their daughter Dorothy living in the same household on Center Street.

Gustav, now listed as the President of the Evangelical Theological Seminary, is living with his wife Esther and their three children in Lisle, IL. There daughter, previously listed as Dorothy, is listed as Dorathea, which is assumed to be an error since the other census data is very clear on the spelling.

The only reference currently found concerning the death of Gustav was an article naming his successor as President of the Evangelical Theological Seminary. It is noted that his replacement had been acting President for four months prior to the November 29, 1939 newspaper article. It is assumed that he was named shortly after Gustav passed away.
