"He was a very succesful business man of the Louisville, Kentucky area, and had large interests, among which was the presidency, at one time of the Monon Railroad (running from Chicago to Indianapolis and Louisville)."

Lewis Breyfogle mentions a second wife for Frederick but does not mention a name. He writes:

"His second wife survived him, and lived at the Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D. C. for many years. I talked with her in 1942. She knew little about the family. She was still living there, at an advanced age, in 1954, when Louise Breyfogle Andrew talked with her briefly by phone."

Fred S. Breyfogle is living at 641 East Long, the same address as his mother Matilda J. Breyfogle, and is working at the Columbus Machine Company, Columbus, Ohio.

SOURCE: Columbus City directory 1889, 1890

Fred S. Breyfogle, his mother Matilda J., and his sister Callie M. are living at 539 East Long during some period between 1887 and 1892. The database does not identify the time period beyond this range. This is the same street they lived on between 1887 and 1890. Fred's name was not listed during 1890-1891 but his mother Matilda and sister Callie are listed at a different address in 1890-1891 so the best assumption is that this is their home address during 1891 and 1892. Fred is listed as a Clerk for Bancroft & Sheldon at this time.
