Charles Ira Aylesworth "Papa Chuck" Crown Point

Charles Ira Aylesworth "Papa Chuck" age 95 years, passed away under the loving care of the Staff at the Wittenberg Lutheran Village on Sunday, February 22, 2004. Survived by two daughters, Iris June (Les) Luebcke of Crown Point and Gail (Gil) Stiener of Winfield; grandchildren: Pamela (David) Zona, Valerie (Ray) Giacomin, Randall (Wendy) Luebcke, Douglas (Robin) Luebcke, Lisa (Joseph) Riffle, Gregory (Wendy) Stiener, Gay (Ed) Fraire, Gerald (Stephanie) Stiener and Gwendolyn (Chris) Harrington. Great-grandchildren: Jason and Leslee Zona, Brian Giacomin, Stephaine, Joshua and Matthew Luebcke, Michael Luebcke, Emma Riffle, Nathaniel and Nina Stiener, Gabrille and Celina Fraire, Jessica, Justin and Madeline Stiener and Austin and Ian Harrington; brother Jack (late Mary Jane) Aylesworth of Hebron; special friend Violet Doty; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife Lola, parents Clyde and Sadie Aylesworth, sister Cora Greenlee and great-grandson Nicholaus Stiener. Charles was a retired farmer from the Winfield Community, a devoted keeper of the land. A past director of the Lake County Co-Op, a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau, Crown Point, a past board member of Crown Point Community School Corporation, past Director of the Lake County Agriculture Society and served on the Winfield Township Advisory Board. He was also a past leader of the Winning Winfielders 4-H Club. Friends may call at the Pruzin & Little Funeral Service, 811 E. Franciscan Dr., (on State Road 55 south of State Road 231) Crown Point, 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at 11:00 am at the Pruzin & Little Chapel with Rev. Richard Ungrodt officiating. Burial, Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory would be appreciated to Wittenberg Lutheran Village.
