Donald Kistenmacher

Funeral services for Pfc. Donald Kistenmacher, son of Mr. And Mrs. Harry Kistenmacher of near Galva, who passed away in the Naval hospital in San Diego, Cal., on Wednesday, Nov. 26, were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock from the Lutheran church, Rev. Wm. Striepe officiating. Donald was taken ill while on duty in Alaska and then transferred to San Diego. He is survived by his wife of a year, the former Verla Breyfogle [Sic], his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Harry Kistenmacher, his grandmother, Mrs. Henrietta Kistenmacher of South Dakota. Burial was in Holstein cemetery under the direction of Hansen Funeral Home.

Donald Kistenmacher Services Monday

Funeral services for Donald Kistenmacher [Sic} 23, airman second class a former resident of the Galva cicinity who died Wednesday at the Naval hospital at San Diego, California were held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran church at Holstein. Burial was in the Holstein cemetery under the direction of the Hansen funeral home.

Airman Donald Kistenmacher was born January 21, 1929 at Holstein to Mr. And Mrs. Harry Kistenmacher. He attended country school near Holstein and was graduated from the Galva school in 1947. he enlisted in the army air corps December 23, 1951. He was married to Berla Breyfogle of Holstein April 20, 1952. In May 1952 he was assigned to duty in Alaska. Survivors in addition to his wife are his parents, Mr. And Mrs. Harry Kistenmacher of Galva, a brother Paul and a sister Mary Alice both also of Galva
