Dr. Herbert Arthur Breyfogle was named as a captain in the Medical Corps on September 25, 1918.

Herbert Arthur Breyfogle and his wife Clara S were living at 3021 Bates, Kansas City, Jackson, MO. He was employed as a physician at 3400 East 31st Street, Kansas City, MO and is listed as being Medium height and build with blue eyes and brown hair.

Dr. H. A. Breyfogle Dies
Brief Illness Is Fatal to Former Medical College Instructor
Dr. Herbert A. Breyfogle, 56 years old, died today at his home, 1225 West Sixtieth Street Terrace, after a brief illness. A native of Kansas City, he was the son of Henry S. and Mary Littick Breyfogle, who traveled in a prairie schooner from Ohio in 1859.
Dr. Breyfogle was educated at Ohio Wesleyan University and the University of Chicago. He formerly was an instructor at the Kansas City Medical College and at the time of his death was on the staff of St. Luke's Hospital.
He was a member of the American Medical Association, the University Club, and Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. During the World War he served as a captain in the medical corps.
He leaves his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Sandow Breyfogle; a son, Herbert Stewart Breyfogle, a student at the University of Chicago; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Freshwater and Mrs. Callie Beecher, both of Delaware, O., and one brother Louis Breyfogle of Kalamazoo, Mich.

RITES FOR DR. BREYFOGLE

The Services Will Be Monday at Country Club Christian Church

Funeral services for Dr. Herbert A. Breyfogle, 56 years old, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday at the Country Club Christian Church, Sixty-first street and Ward parkway. The body will be at the Newcomer chapel, Brush Creek boulevard and the Paseo until 10 o'clock Monday. Mr. Breyfogle died yesterday at the home, 1225 West Sixtieth street terrace.
