Notes for Grace BREYFOGLE

There are two corrections I have for Grace and her family: Her birthday is listed as November 15, but it is, in fact, November 13. You'll see in the notes when I send them later that I have an engraved cameo brooch from her birthday in 1907 with that date. (Rootsweb has the date wrong, too.) Also, her mother's middle initial was A., and not M. Both the 1880 census and William Cutler's History of the State of Kansas list her as Laura A. Pennock.

Additional comment: The brooch is engraved, "To my Sweetheart wife, Grace B. Jones, November 13, 1907."

EDITORS NOTE: We have not added the middle initial of B. on this record because none of the documents we have seen show this. There is speculation that the B. could stand for Breyfogle but may not necessarily be part of her given name.
