Jacob's name is listed as a witness to a will for Peter Christman of Maxatawny Township, Berks County, PA, May 26, 1812

"We know very little about Jacob D. Breyfogel, except that he must have been born about 1778, during the American Revolution. Judging from the known date of the birth of his second child (Joshua D.), he must have been married about 1802, when he was 24."
