Notes for Margaret HAGERMAN

Margaret's headstone, at Sand Hill Cemetery near Tipton, IA, indicates that she died on November 4, 1879 and was 59 years, 9 months, and 23 days old. She is buried beside her second husband, Morris Ochiltree, as well as his first wife Francina and two of their children.

Although this tombstone is difficult to read because of the weathering and moss we present it none the less.

I met Rita Gervais at a family reunion yesterday. I have a pretty good picture of her {Margaret's] gravestone you might like. It was shot with a film camera about 15 years ago I think. It's not so close up, but quite a bit easier to read.
