Editors Note:

There seems to be a great deal of confusion about the name of this person. A marriage certificate from the Clerk Of Court in Davis County indicates his name is John B. Paris, while Mr. Elgin has reference to him as John B.. Another unknown contributor writes that the actual name is Jackson B. Paris, and another is Jackson Benjamin Paris. One source is as follows:

Jackson B. Paris was of Dutch and Irish descent as written in an old Paris Bible - Jackson and Mary are buried in Paris Cemetery, Bunch, Iowa.
