Notes for Janice Lee PARIS

Janice Patterson, age 70, of 1134-242nd Street in rural Boone, died July 4, 2008, at the Boone County Hospital from complications of diabetes and heart failure. Her body has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of the Boone Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses at 13th and Division Streets. Her cremains will be buried in the Pilot Mound Cemetery in Pilot Mound.
Janice was born in Fraser on August 31, 1937, the daughter of Cloyd and Olive (Martz) Paris. She graduated from Pilot Mound High School in 1955. On September 21, 1955, Janice married Marvin 'Pat' Patterson in Boone. She was a wife and homemaker. In earlier years, she was employed at a laundry in Salina, Kansas, and later worked as an office housekeeper at Boone County Family Medicine. Janice enjoyed bird watching, traveling with her husband out west, baking and cooking, and spending time with her family and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Raymond, William, Cloyd Jr., and infant brother Larry Paris, and four sisters, Ruth Paris, Geraldine Woodyard, Betty Keeler, and Waneta King. Janice is survived by her husband, Marvin 'Pat' of Boone; two adopted sons, Kenneth Wolfe and wife Jerilyn of Seattle, Washington and Timothy Schmidt and wife Heidi and their daughter Hannah of Boone; two sisters, Patricia Casotti and husband Dean and Judy Sondall and husband Don, all of Boone; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Kingdom Hall on Saturday from noon until service time at which time the family will be present.
Schroeder Memorial Chapel at Sixth and Marshall is in charge of the arrangements.
